The seminar in Spanish \u201cThe Mission of the Media: Protecting the Truth in the Age of AI<\/em>,\u201d organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Pontifical Gregorian University<\/strong>, in collaboration with the Fratelli tutti<\/em> Foundation<\/strong>, offers a reflection on the ethical and professional challenges posed by artificial intelligence and the digital transformation of information.<\/p>\n

The meeting will focus on topics such as public truth and published truth, source verification, editorial responsibility, the role of digital platforms, and the protection of human dignity, also in light of the encyclical Magnifica Humanitas<\/em>. The initiative aims to launch an international process of reflection that could lead, in October 2027, to the development of an international code of ethics for information in the age of artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n

An opportunity for dialogue among journalists, media professionals, institutions, and the academic community, with the aim of promoting a culture of responsibility, fact-checking, and high-quality information.<\/p>\n

We look forward to seeing you on October 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.,<\/strong> in the Aula Magna at the Pontifical Gregorian University<\/strong>, located at Piazza della Pilotta, 4 \u2014 Rome.<\/p>\n

La misi\u00f3n de los medios: proteger la verdad en tiempos de AI<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

El seminario \u00abLa misi\u00f3n de los medios: proteger la verdad en tiempos de AI<\/em>\u00bb, organizado por la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales de la Pontificia Universidad Gregoriana<\/strong>, en colaboraci\u00f3n con la Fundaci\u00f3n Fratelli tutti<\/em><\/strong>, propone una reflexi\u00f3n sobre los retos \u00e9ticos y deontol\u00f3gicos que plantean la inteligencia artificial y la transformaci\u00f3n digital de la informaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

El encuentro se centrar\u00e1 en temas como la verdad p\u00fablica y la verdad publicada, la verificaci\u00f3n de las fuentes, la responsabilidad editorial, el papel de las plataformas digitales y la protecci\u00f3n de la dignidad de la persona, tambi\u00e9n a la luz de la enc\u00edclica Magnifica Humanitas<\/em>. La iniciativa pretende poner en marcha un proceso de reflexi\u00f3n internacional que pueda conducir, en octubre de 2027, a la elaboraci\u00f3n de un c\u00f3digo deontol\u00f3gico internacional para la informaci\u00f3n en la era de la inteligencia artificial.<\/p>\n

Una oportunidad para el di\u00e1logo entre periodistas, profesionales de la informaci\u00f3n, instituciones y el mundo acad\u00e9mico con el fin de promover una cultura de la responsabilidad, la verificaci\u00f3n y la calidad de la informaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
