The rediscovery of words of dialogue against words of hate, of a world without wars while conflicts continue and no one has the key to stopping them so far. Perhaps only the light of fraternity can illuminate the path and stop the wars.

This is the meaning of the Vocabulary of the Fratelli tutti Foundation “The Vocabulary of fraternity. 365 words to rediscover our humanity” (Rizzoli) that will be presented June 19th in Perugia at 6:00 PM in the Aula Magna of Palazzo Gallenga after the appointments of Naples, Rome, Lecco and Novara.

The debate on the Vocabulary will be of great help to the conversation that will look project our vision towards the future of the world, of humanity, on peace and war, on rearmament.

In Perugia there will be a wide discussion with distinguished guests who have always been peace constructors. The “host” of the event will give an introduction, Headmaster of the University for Foreigners Valerio De Cesaris. The speakers are the Regione Umbria President Stefania Proietti; Perugia’s mayor Vittoria Ferdinandi, also a delegate of Anci for Peace; the archbishop of Perugia and Città delle Pieve Monsignor Ivan Maffeis; Director of Rai Umbria Giovanni Parapini; President of the Foundation PerugiAssisi for the Culture of Peace Flavio Lotti, and Secretary General of the Fratelli tutti Foundation and curator of the Vocabulary Father Francesco Occhetta. The moderator of the event is journalist Alessio Antonielli. Readings curated by Ilaria Falini, Teatro Stabile dell’Umbria. 

The event is organized by the Basilica Papale di San Pietro, by the Fratelli tutti Foundation and by the World Meeting on Human Fraternity #BeHuman that will take place on 12-13 September in Rome, its third edition. The partonage has been given by the Regione Umbria, by the municipality of Perugia and of the archbishopric. In collaboration with Rai Umbria, Tgr Umbria and University for Foreigners of Perugia.
