  • On the occasion of the 21st edition of the Rome Science Festival, scheduled for April 15–19, 2026, at the Ennio Morricone Auditorium Parco della Musica, the School of Arts and Crafts of the Fabbrica di San Pietro in the Vatican will participate with two workshops dedicated to Roman stucco and mosaics.

The workshops will showcase artisanal techniques and processes specific to the tradition of the Fabbrica di San Pietro, offering students direct exposure to the craft practices that the School of Arts and Crafts promotes and preserves.

Through live demonstrations, participants will be able to observe materials, tools, and work processes up close, gaining insight into the continuity between training and practical work within the Fabbrica.

The initiative is part of the Festival’s program, contributing to the dialogue between science, art, and technical knowledge, and confirming the commitment of the Fabbrica di San Pietro as a vehicle for the dissemination and preservation of artisanal skills that are at risk of being lost.
